My career in healthcare started when I served my country as an army medical laboratory technician at Irwin Hospital Fort Riley, Kansas. In 1997, I graduated from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania with a BA in English and in Anthropology and became a public healthcare writer and technical writer.
Although writing has been a long-time career for me, I pursued certification in holistic healing modalities because that is my passion.
in 1998, I earned a Certificate in Reiki I (you just might feel the heat come through my hands)
in 2006, I earned a Certificate of Completion in Clinical Herbalism (400 hours) from the David Winston's Center for Herbal Study in Washington, NJ
in 2011, I earned a Certificate of Completion in Yoga Life Training from the Integral Yoga Institute in New York, NY
in 2013, I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training from Westchester Yoga Arts in New Rochelle, NY
in 2017, I earned a Certificate of Therapeutic Massage (750 hours) from the New Hampshire Institute of Therapetuic Arts located in Bridgton, Maine.
I hold a license of massage therapy in the state of Maine, am nationally MBLEX-certified and am a member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association).
